We've Launched the AI Editor: Creating Professional Transactional Emails Has Never Been Easier
Forget hours spent on templates and code. Our new AI editor creates professional, on-brand transactional emails for you in literally seconds — just describe what you need.
Transactional emails are one of the most frequent touchpoints between a customer and your brand — they have the highest open rates of any email type. They're a key part of communicating with online customers, and a calling card for every online store. Every email a customer receives — from order confirmation to delivery notification — should reflect your brand, be memorable, and build trust.
Unfortunately, a large number of online stores are sending mediocre — or frankly poor — transactional emails.
That's why we've launched the AI editor for transactional emails in Retino Tracking — a tool that saves you hours of work and creates original, branded emails exactly to your specifications. Just enter your online store's URL and everything starts happening on its own.
What the AI editor can do that standard templates can't
Original design based on your brief
Create an original template that matches your brand and style. Colours, tone, structure. The AI understands your instructions and prepares a professional design in seconds — one that would otherwise take you hours to build.
Easy and fast edits
Forget lengthy coding.
With the AI editor, you can create a beautiful design in just a few minutes. Simply enter your online store's URL — the AI will automatically recognise your visual identity and communication tone, which you can approve before the email template is generated. From there, you can add inspiration or an image, and the AI handles the rest. Request changes in plain language and watch your ideas come to life.
Flexible content blocks
Want to add banners with recommended products, special offers, or key order information? Build your template exactly the way you want it. Just give the AI an instruction and it's done. What appears in each email state can be changed dynamically.
Custom display conditions
Set rules for when each block should appear — for example, a discount voucher only for orders above a certain value.
Design import
Upload an HTML file or screenshot and the AI converts it into an editable template.
Multilingual support
Automatic translations are built in for your international customers.
Live preview
See changes instantly so you always stay in control.
Code access
Want to fine-tune the details in HTML? No problem.
How to get started with the AI editor
Step 1: Connect your online store
If you're not yet using Retino Tracking or Retino transactional emails, activate them now. Setup takes just a few minutes.
Step 2: Open the AI editor
In Retino settings, you'll find the new "Advanced Email Editor" section.
Step 3: Scan your online store
Enter your store's URL and let the AI gather context about your brand. It will generate a summary covering key brand information, colours, voice and tone, and social media links — and even download your current banner images. You can edit individual sections, upload a new banner, or move straight on and refine these details later.
Step 5: Fine-tune and activate
Happy with the result? You can activate it right away.
Want to adjust something? Just describe the change in your own words, for example:
- "Make the heading larger"
- "Add this banner below the heading" — paste an image into the text field
- "Make the banner link to: www.retino.com"
- "If the order value is over 5,000 CZK, add a field with a discount code and the text 'Thank you for your order — we really appreciate you, so here's 10% off your next purchase. Just enter the code THANKYOU' — and put it in a blue box."
- "Change the border colour of the email"
- "Add something to the header"
- Adding dynamic parameters for individual emails
- And much more
Step 6: Translations
Once you're happy with the result, you can have all text fully translated into other languages (based on your language settings in Retino). Simply trigger the translation and then review the output. You can also swap out images so they're appropriate for each country.
Step 7: Generate state-specific copy
Since each transactional email carries slightly different information, this step generates individual base transactional emails for each order status. For each trigger, you can choose which elements of the template to include — for example, if you don't want to display a banner in the order confirmation, you can hide it. And if there's an email you don't want to send at all, simply switch it off. Additional email types can be created in a later step.
Step 8: Testing
You can send a specific email to your own address, or enable test mode — enter a few email addresses and the system will send emails exclusively to those addresses.
Step 9: Go live
Once you've finished testing, just click "Deploy X emails" and your emails will start going out to customers immediately.
Step 10: Add further custom emails
The pre-built transactional emails not enough because you use additional custom statuses? Simply go to the automations settings and create a new trigger.
Today, many online stores send transactional emails — but very few have a polished, consistent design. With the AI editor, you can stay ahead of the competition: every email you send will be original, consistent, and professional. A unified style from order confirmation through to delivery notification builds customer trust and increases the chances they'll remember you.
Whether you want a different design for each email type or a single unified template across all messages — the AI editor gives you full control, flexibility, and a wide range of options.
